Fatehgarh Sahib, 13 September: The Modi-led BJP-RSS government in India has continued its oppressive campaign against Sikhs, both within India and abroad. Notable freedom fighters, such as Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Ripudaman Singh Malik, Sukhdoal Singh, and others, have faced extrajudicial killings orchestrated by the government. The international community, including countries like Canada and the United States, has begun to take note of the gross human rights violations committed against the Sikh community. This has led to mounting global pressure on India.

When Congress leader Rahul Gandhi recently highlighted these atrocities during his visit to the U.S., his remarks ignited an intense reaction from the BJP. Simranjit Singh Mann, the president of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar, questioned why BJP leaders, including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, were furious about the truth being exposed rather than addressing the injustices committed against Sikhs.

Mann stressed that Sikh oppression is undeniable, as acknowledged by international entities like the Five Eyes intelligence alliance. He condemned the BJP’s attempts to dismiss the truth and reiterated that the Indian government, past and present, is responsible for the massacres and destruction of Sikh religious sites. Mann also expressed confidence that these officials would eventually face justice in the International Criminal Court for their crimes against humanity.
