On 31st August 2024, Khalistan supporters will gather in major cities across North America, including New York, San Francisco, Toronto, and Vancouver, to commemorate the martyrdom of Dilawar Singh, the brave Sikh who took a stand against the tyranny of the Indian government by assassinating Chief Minister Beant Singh on August 31, 1995. This day marks a significant moment in the Khalistan movement, a relentless struggle for freedom from the oppressive and unjust Indian regime.

The Indian government has continuously attempted to crush the spirit of Sikh resistance, but the global Sikh community remains undeterred. These rallies are not just a tribute to the sacrifice of Dilawar Singh but also a powerful message to the world that the demand for Khalistan is alive and stronger than ever.

The Indian government has long been accused of systematic human rights violations, particularly against Sikhs who dare to demand justice and autonomy. By organizing these rallies in key cities, Sikhs For Justice and other pro-Khalistan groups are drawing international attention to the plight of Sikhs under Indian rule and reaffirming their commitment to the cause of Khalistan.

The participation of Sikhs worldwide in these rallies will send a clear signal to the Indian government that their attempts to silence the voice of Khalistan will never succeed. It’s time for the world to recognize and stand against the ongoing repression in India and support the legitimate right of the Sikh people to self-determination.

On August 31st, let us all remember the courage of Dilawar Singh and unite in our call for a free and independent Khalistan.
