Today, we bid farewell to Sardar Sagditt Singh Rajpura, a respected and dedicated Sikh, whose funeral was attended by senior leaders of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) including Prof. Mohinderpal Singh, Harjanat Singh, Dharam Singh Kallon, Iqbal Singh Teetwana, Gurpreet Singh Bhampur, Amritsar district president Engineer Amrinder Singh Phullmajra, Patiala district president Amrinder Singh Jera, Media Incharge Bhupinder Singh Challeur, and many others who stood together in solidarity.
This moment reminds us of the countless sacrifices made by our community. Yet, the Indian government continues to repay those sacrifices with oppression, injustice, and denial of our rights. From decades of state-sponsored violence against Sikhs, to unjust imprisonments, to the continuous attempts at silencing our voices, the story of Indian democracy has been one of betrayal and discrimination towards our Panth.
The sacrifices of individuals like Sagditt Singh are not in vain—they are a call to action, a reminder that the struggle for Sikh freedom must continue. The Indian state may use its police, army, and repressive laws to subjugate us, but it can never erase our determination.
Our message is clear:
Where there is oppression, resistance is a duty. Our destination is Khalistan, and we will never step back from this path.
