As a proud member of Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar and a firm believer in the right to self-determination, it is deeply disturbing to witness how the Indian government continues to suppress our voice and erase our identity. The recent incident in Himachal Pradesh, where locals were mobilized to remove Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale’s posters, is yet another example of how the Indian state systematically silences any expression of Sikh sovereignty and history.

This blatant act of oppression is not about removing a mere poster; it is about erasing our struggle, our sacrifices, and our fight for justice. The Indian state, through its machinery and propaganda, has criminalized the Khalistani movement, branding anyone who raises their voice as anti-national or a separatist. They use fear, intimidation, and brute force to suppress any form of dissent, making it impossible for us to live freely and express our legitimate demands for an independent Khalistan.

We cannot locate anywhere in India without being targeted. Sikhs who support Khalistan are either arrested, harassed, or face mob violence. The media, controlled by the Indian government, spreads false narratives to demonize us while glorifying those who suppress our movement. The very foundation of democracy – the right to free speech and peaceful assembly – does not apply to us.

But despite their continued oppression, our voices will never be silenced. The Khalistan movement is not just a political demand; it is the voice of millions of Sikhs who refuse to bow down to an authoritarian regime that has systematically discriminated against us. From the 1984 Sikh genocide to the ongoing state-sponsored attacks, we have endured unimaginable suffering, yet we continue to rise and fight for our rights.

The removal of Bhindranwale’s posters in Himachal Pradesh is just one of many such incidents. But let it be clear – the struggle for Khalistan is beyond posters. It is an unshakable movement, an ideology that no government, no state, and no amount of force can erase. We will continue to raise our voices globally, expose the atrocities of the Indian state, and demand justice for the Sikh nation.

Khalistan Zindabad! The struggle continues!
